We have pretty, cottage style bedrooms where you can sleep in comfort. We offer good food in recommended in all the major guides in both of our relaxing and comfortable bars, or you can enjoy our fine 2-AA Rosette & 2 RAC Blue Ribbon restaurant. Our restaurant overlooks our pleasant patio gardens where on fine evenings you can enjoy an excellent range of wines by the glass or perhaps one our real ales recommended in the Good Beer guide. For the cooler evenings and nights, we have traditional open log fires to warm yourselves by.
Here you can plan your next days activities whether enjoying the unspoilt riverside walks nearby, perhaps taking advantage of our fishing rights at pools and white water on both sides of the Inn, or investigating the river’s source high up on romantic Dartmoor. Visit Buckfast Abbey, Pennywell Farm, The Otter Sanctuary or one of the many National Trust properties that are close by; playing golf at one of the many challenging but scenic golf courses in the area, exploring the creative art and antique shops in Totnes or Dartmouth or simply enjoying the wonderful Devon Countryside that surrounds the Inn – perfectly placed between the Moor and the Sea.
We offer to all visitors’ warm and welcoming hospitality that is hard to come by these days. The proprietors Nick and Nicky and their staff are always on hand to arrange something special to make your stay memorable. And, of course, they will always update you on local events and news.
